My Azure

I sat on that bench one fine sunny morning by this blue beauty, unaware of what was waiting to be mine. From a distance, so far, it felt like another realm, I heard a whisper: “Find me the sea, where I’ll find the treasures in you.”
How could such a voice not stir the deepest corners of my heart? Mesmerized by the unfolding feeling, I was suspended in time. Then it came again, “My woman, let my words not affect you much, for what I want to touch is your soul. My love for the blue, the sea, and the sky, both of which you are painted in, makes my heart flutter.”
I leapt from my seat, chasing that voice that surged through my veins faster than ecstasy.
And said to myself: “Some find their fantasy in silver and scarlet, others in obsidian covered in gold. I find it in you, my Azure.”
I stood still, breath held between belief and awe.
Who are you?
What is this feeling rising within me, your aura spiraling deeper into the essence that my soul had kept only for itself?
and here is my love letter to the azure, I admire, to nature, that keeps me alive.
You came not in form, but in wind,
in salt air and sky-kissed tide
A whisper born from seafoam,
in whose language I found my name.
Not all love arrives loud
some drift in
on waves,
on the hush of trees swaying in hush-toned verses,
on cloud shadows over mountain curves.
You are not the thunder,
but the stillness that follows it.
Not lightning,
but the long breath after it cracks.
You are my Azure
not a color,
but a feeling.
The one that dances
between wild and peace.
Between silence and surrender.
Others chase jewels and fire,
but I
I found paradise
in your ever-changing blue.
So if you ever ask where I belong,
know this:
I belong where the wind calls softly,
where the sea mirrors the sky,
where I first heard you
and finally heard myself.
